Antique Onyx Locket Beautiful XIX Century French Victorian Onyx locket with engraved L Antique photo holder gift for her

Gorgeous and unique mid-Victorian onyx locket with an engraved "L". Perhaps for a first name or even for 'love' and 'loyalty'. The locket has a lovely glass partition, common in antique French lockets and hard to find elsewhere, which can be used to store a special trinket or photo. The gold fill around the oval center is beautifully engraved to make a unique statement. The locket closes well and has light gold loss on the lease and near the closure, consistent with age, but nothing to take away from the locket's charm.
