1900s Antique Watch chain Antique Necklace French silver Filigree Chain Edwardian Watch Chain gift for her Antique Filigree necklace
This luxurious silver filigree watch chain hails from the Edwardian French period and is truly a work of art. It's not just a watch chain; it's a versatile piece that can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around the wrist as a double bracelet.
The watch chain features stunning filigree work with round wave forms, showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship of the time. It consists of 13 oval navette links, each adorned with artful details, and is separated by 14 bows, adding to its visual appeal.
In excellent vintage condition, this chain exhibits only very light signs of wear, which is hardly noticeable and adds character to the piece. The navette centers, which used to be in vermeil (a layer of 18k gold over silver), have now developed a unique style as the vermeil has mostly vanished.
The chain links themselves are in excellent condition, gleaming with a lovely design. Some light tarnish may be present inside the links, but this is not visible to the naked eye. Additionally, the spring ring, while having a tiny hole on its inside part, is fully functional and does not impact its use or appearance in any significant way.
This watch chain is not just a piece of jewelry; it's a testament to a bygone era's elegance and sophistication. Its poetic and luxurious design is sure to catch the eye of anyone who admires it. Whether you wear it as a necklace or a double bracelet, it's a beautiful piece of history that you can cherish for yourself or gift to a loved one.
