Stunning oval shaker locket featuring thick and high quality beveled glass, cut to perfection. Dating all the way back to the Napoleon III Era, 1850s France. Shines beautifully and makes prisms in the light. It is silver but can also give an astonishing white gold or platinum look, it is hallmarked with a boar head. The locket interior may be deep enough for small gems or gemstones. It could easily, however, be used to carry a picture of a loved one or pressed flowers or memory of your choice. A piece that will make a bigger impression in real life. In excellent antique condition, with some very light micro scratches to the glass consistent with age, the locket closes with a satisfying snap and will store any memories very securely.
