A truly enchanting piece of French antique jewelry, this exquisite 18K solid yellow gold heart locket dates from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The front is beautifully adorned with four deep red garnets set within a delicate clover motif, accompanied by two rose-cut diamonds. The intricate engraved details, beautifully raised in relief, give this little heart an exceptional sense of character and craftsmanship.

What makes this locket particularly special is that it still retains its original glass, allowing you to place a photograph, miniature portrait, or tiny keepsake inside — making it not only a beautiful jewel, but also a deeply personal one.

The locket is crafted in 18K solid gold, hallmarked with the French eagle's head hallmark on the side of the locket, confirming its gold purity.

The reverse is beautifully smooth and understated, allowing the pendant to be worn on either side, depending on your mood and style.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition, with only minor micro-scratches to the gold consistent with its age and gentle wear. A light patina remains and could easily be removed with a delicate professional polish. There are also two very small dents on the back, which are not visible when worn.
